Me

My name is Charlie Boisseau. I am a 20 year old newly graduated programmer/freelance consultant/mac monkey. I live with my girlfriend, Tamara, in Edinburgh, Scotland.

My Setup

For those of you who haven't already discovered, I am an Apple Mac fanatic, however I have a strong Windows/Linux/Unix background as well. For my daily rounds I operate an Apple 17" PowerBook G4 running Mac OS X. I also have a Dell PC running Windows XP and RedHat Linux.

My Experience

I have been using Macs since System 6 - my first computer was a Mac Classic (with a whacking 4 MB of RAM!). Since then, I have used every release of the Mac OS and various Windows versions from 3.1 up to XP. I do the majority of my programming in PHP and REALbasic, however I dabble in a little Java and C occasionally. I have done a lot of work with databases including FileMaker Pro and various SQL incarnations. I administer numerous server platforms mainly including Mac OS X Server machines, one of which is hosting this site.
